Old Street Sessions brings together photographs from CongoDance’s past live-acoustic music events at The Old Street Gallery in London. Across the December 2019 and February 2020 editions, the archive centres UK-based Congolese artists in performance and preserves the warmth, craft and shared energy of the room.
We have curated a visual sequence spanning solo performances, guitar-led sets, duets and ensemble moments across both Old Street Gallery editions. Each image is presented as part of one continuing live-music story.
A dedicated public archive that makes CongoDance’s December 2019 and February 2020 Old Street Gallery programme visible within the wider portfolio and creates a foundation for future event documentation.
